Saudi Kabsa Recipe


Introduction: Kabsa is the national dish of Saudi Arabia, a meal rich in flavors and spices. Kabsa is an ideal choice for family occasions and gatherings, as it combines rice with chicken (or meat) and is served with salad or yogurt.

Saudi Kabsa Recipe

Ingredients:

For Kabsa:

1 kg of cut chicken

3 cups of basmati rice

2 medium onions, chopped

4 tomatoes, chopped

2 tablespoons of tomato paste

3 cloves of garlic, chopped

2 tablespoons of Kabsa spices

1 teaspoon of salt

1/2 teaspoon of black pepper

4 cups of water

Vegetable oil


Preparation method:

Prepare the chicken:

In a pot on the stove, heat the oil, then add the onions and garlic, and stir until wilted.

Add the chicken pieces and brown them on all sides.

Add the tomatoes:

Add the chopped tomatoes, tomato paste and spices, and cook for 10 minutes until the ingredients are combined.

Cook the rice:

Add boiling water to the pot, then add the rice after washing it well. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and cover the pot.

Cook the Kabsa on low heat for 30-40 minutes until the rice is cooked.

Serving:

Serve the Kabsa in a large plate with salad or yogurt, and garnish with roasted nuts or chopped parsley.
